An academic lecture given by Prof. Shunqi Mei of Wuhan Textile University

  On 3rd September, 2019, Prof. Shunqi Mei Wuhan Textile University was invited by Textile College of ZUT to give an academic lecture entitled“Thinking of Key Technology of Intelligent Manufacturing for Textiles”in Longhu campus for teachers and students of Textile College. The vice president of Jian Huang hosted the reporting and awarded Prof. MeiShun together with "Hongde Pulpit Guest Speaker Certificate".The Director of Personnel, Prof. Qiusheng,Zheng as well as nearly 300 teachers and students from the Textile Institute, attended to the lecture.

  Professor Shunqi Mei focuses on the following four aspects: the experience of textile industry facing challenges, the connotation and key technologies of intelligent textile manufacturing, the key common technology foundation of intelligent textile equipment, and the intellectualization of products. He focuses on the present situation and characteristics of the application of textile intelligence manufacturing practice in our country and points out that we are now at this stage should promote the automation and digitization of textile production and lays the foundation for intelligent manufacturing and should pay more attention to textile basic research about intelligent manufacturing technology, including the key theory of textile equipment design and manufacturing technology, the core components of design and manufacture, etc., and should strengthen the construction of industrial data through the industry-university-institute cooperation.

Shunqi Mei, an Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Professor of Wuhan Textile University, Second-class Professor of Hubei Province, Doctoral Supervisor, visiting scholar of University of Michigan in 2008.He used to be Dean and Secretary of Party Committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Wuhan Textile University. He is currently a member of the Party Committee of Wuhan Textile University, Director of Hubei Key Laboratory of Digital Textile Equipment, and Vice Chairman of Science and Technology Association of Wuhan Textile University. Main academic tenure: ASME members of the Society of Mechanical Engineers, Director of China Textile Machinery Association, the Member of the Standing Committee of intelligent manufacturing Committee of Chinese society of artificial intelligence, Senior Member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the Evaluation Experts of National Science and Technology Award, National Natural Science Fund and "863" Project (rate and net review), Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Textile Research and so on the reviewing authority or editors.
